REPORTING TO PARENTS Reporting students' progress to parents is an important process for the school. The school has developed procedures and systems which we believe best meet the needs of parents.
Informal MeetingsParents can arrange to have a meeting with their child's class teacher at any time if they have concerns about their child's academic or social progress. It is always a good idea to ring ahead and make a suitably convenient time for both parties.
Written reportsAt the end of each semester a written report is sent to parents. At Hanwood School we use A-E grades or the equivalent word description to describe student achievement.

Parent interviewsInterviews are structured for parents following the mid year assessment. These interviews allow parents to discuss their child's progress with the classroom teacher. Parents who have concerns should make an appointment to meet with the class teacher when the concern arises and not wait until the formal interviews. |
